The “Alash” debate tournament was organized for the fourth time at NIS in Aktau. A total of 96 debaters, forming 48 teams, took part in the regional tournament, testing their argumentation and persuasion skills. The resolutions covered relevant topics such as politics, human life, and society.

According to Mereke Akbobek, mentor of the “Alash” debate club, student participation in both the Kazakh and Russian leagues increased this year. This indicates the strong and growing development of debate potential at the school.

“Organizing the regional tournament was a great experience and a serious responsibility for us. Overall, our greatest achievement was the team’s unity and mutual trust. Everyone understood their role and worked toward a common goal, which ensured the tournament’s success both in terms of content and organization. The participants’ activity and feedback also reflected the results of our efforts,” said Mereke Akbobek.
