IV FATHERS’ FORUM: TRUST BETWEEN FATHER AND CHILD
23 February 2026 10:36
The traditional Fathers’ Forum was held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in Aktau. Organized for the fourth time, the event focused on the theme “Trust Between Father and Child.”
The attending fathers first ознакомились with the NIS system projects — “100 Books,” “Proverbs I Use in My Life,” “100 Songs,” and “100 Kazakh Kuy.” Afterwards, the participants discussed ways to build trust between father and child, issues of establishing emotional connection with children, and listened to the opinions of the invited guests.
During the meeting, the school principal, Rinat Zhumabayev, shared the results of a study on strengthening parent-child relationships and encouraged parents to become more actively involved in school life.
A special guest of the forum, Allabergen Konarbayev, Head of the Parents’ Council under the Mangystau Regional Department of Education, emphasized the importance of fathers’ active involvement in their children’s lives and introduced the initiatives being implemented across the region. According to him, trust between father and child begins with spending quality time together.
Among the evening’s guests, veteran teacher Orazbay Khamituly spoke about the key principles of building relationships with children; family values advocate Oser Otegen highlighted the importance of knowing a child’s opinion about himself; and a 2020 graduate of the intellectual school and young father, Raiymek Akkoluly, shared reflections on his father’s example and the principles he strives to follow.
The meeting continued with session activities conducted by Kazakh language teachers Aigul Aitan and Aru Zhumabergenkyzy, as well as history teacher Marziya Zhetkizgenkyzy. At the end of the evening, the fathers took part in football, volleyball, and chess competitions. In addition, letters of appreciation were presented to fathers whose children achieved high results in various competitions and contests.
It is worth noting that the traditional Fathers’ Forum held at NIS is one of the important events contributing to positive changes in school life. Following the resolution of last year’s forum, and at the fathers’ suggestion, the necessity of mobile phones during school hours was studied. As a result, starting from the current academic year, students at the school have given up using mobile phones during school time.
