An event dedicated to the creative legacy of Shаmshi Qaldaiakov — the King of the Kazakh Waltz, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, and author of the National Anthem — was held in Aktau as part of the traditional “10 Years in the Embrace of Happiness” project organized by NIS.

The evening, which brought together nearly 500 students and teachers, was opened by the school principal, Rinat Zhumabayev. He highlighted the significance of the project and wished success to the organizing team and participants.

To the melody of timeless songs, the participants waltzed to the composer’s works such as “Baqtyq qushağynda”, “Keshikpey kelem dep eń”, “Aq bantik”, “Aqerke-Aqjaiyq”, “Aqmaңdailym”, and “Tamdy aruy”, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for the guests of the evening.

“This evening is an important cultural event traditionally held as part of our school’s 10th anniversary and the ‘100 Kazakh Songs’ project. Promoting national art and introducing students to the gems of Kazakh music are among the key priorities of our school’s educational work. Over the past 10 years, this event has become a beautiful tradition that nurtures artistic appreciation and brings warmth to every heart,” said Gulzhanat Kurmanova, Deputy Director for Educational Work.
