In honor of Republic Day, about 100 students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktau held the traditional “Uly dala muragerleri” dombra flash mob.

The main goal of the event is to cultivate national art and spiritual values among students, strengthen unity through the dombra, and promote the cultural heritage of Independent Kazakhstan.

During the festive flash mob, the school’s “Qos Perne” ensemble performed Abai’s “Közimnіŋ qarasy” as well as the folk kui “Jastar bii” and “Er Turan,” creating a festive atmosphere for the audience.

“I started learning to play the dombra when I entered the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in the 7th grade. Orchestra members learn 15–20 kui. For us, ‘Uly dala muragerleri’ is a creative report within the ‘100 Kui’ educational project,” said Duman Dzhembai, president of the “Qos Perne” ensemble.

This project is an annual republican initiative and a tradition within the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools system.
