I INTERNATIONAL MUN CONFERENCE NIS CBD ALMATY

18 November 2024 19:24

NIS CBD of Almaty hosted the international MUN (Model United Nations) conference for the first time, which brought together high school and university students from across Kazakhstan. This event provided a platform for young people to develop their skills in diplomacy, international relations, and global issues.

The conference lasted for two days, during which participants discussed pressing world problems, such as climate change, human rights, international security, and economic development. Delegates represented different countries, analyzed their positions on the discussed issues, and proposed solutions to create a more just and sustainable world.

MUN is an important platform for developing critical thinking, public speaking, and negotiation skills. Participants learned how to work in teams, present and defend their viewpoints, and listen to and respect the opinions of others—skills that are essential for future diplomats and politicians.

Additionally, the conference provided an opportunity for exchanging experiences and establishing international connections, broadening participants' perspectives and opening doors for future collaborative projects. This event became an important step in fostering cultural and educational exchange among the youth of Kazakhstan and the world.

We are proud that our school served as the venue for this significant event, and we hope that MUN will become a tradition, inspiring young minds to find solutions to global challenges.
