World Educators' Attention at WALS-2024

Teachers of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Almaty are taking part in the international conference of the World Association of Lesson Study taking place in Astana these days. Teachers familiarize experts and colleagues with their achievements in implementing Lesson Study method in the teaching process.

Today at the poster session the participants of the conference presented 76 studies.

Prof. Takashi Nakai from Nara University of Education (Japan) defined the key idea of the poster session: “It is important for a teacher not just to impart knowledge, but to awaken and maintain the student's interest”.

Teachers of biology and art of our school Torgaeva E.A., Arystanova G.A., Kabarzhan J.K. and Ermilova E.V., Omarkhanova A.K. presented their innovative teaching methods. They familiarized the listeners with the developed integrated lessons through STEAM learning.

Also, the results of the research on effective strategies for the development of critical and creative thinking were presented at the exhibition.
