Parent Committee
The Parent University
The Parent University is an educational project aimed at enhancing the pedagogical culture and competence of parents in matters related to upbringing and child development. The Parent University operates within each Intellectual School and brings together members of the parent community, as well as administrative and teaching staff, all of whom are interested in strengthening families and connecting family and social education.
Objectives of the University:
To establish a continuous system of psychological and pedagogical education for parents, helping them develop new competencies that meet modern challenges, and raising awareness of the need for internal change for the benefit of families, children, and the future of the country. The University also promotes responsible motherhood and fatherhood.
To revive traditional values and the way of life of the Kazakh family, harmonize marital relations, establish spiritual and moral values in both family and society, and promote positive family education practices.
To encourage a healthy lifestyle, promote student health, correct behavioral deviations, and enhance individual stress tolerance.
Participants in the University include teacher-organizers, curators, psychologists, vocational guidance counselors, and subject teachers. Additionally, public representatives, specialists from various fields, individuals with active civic engagement, and parents who demonstrate responsible and positive parental roles are invited.
The academic year at the Parent University begins on September 1 and concludes by May 25 of the same school year. Classes are held at least four times during the academic year, culminating in a final event such as a parent conference or parental readings.
