Experience exchange of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools

Broadcasting the experience of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools plays an important role in the development of the country's secondary education system, as well as in the implementation of the Development Strategy of AEO «Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools» - 2035.

Projects to broadcast the experience of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools are successfully ongoing, receiving positive feedback from Kazakh society, and serve as a strong example of the synergy between the state, business, and education in enhancing the quality of knowledge for Kazakhstani schoolchildren.

The Center for Educational Programs develops modern educational programs that meet the requirements of contemporary education and innovative teaching methods. These programs are adapted and transferred to other educational institutions within the secondary education system. The Center also provides training for teachers of reference schools in subject knowledge, research skills, and functional literacy.

Support for Teaching Staff: To effectively broadcast this experience, it is crucial to ensure the support and professional development of teachers. The Center for Pedagogical Excellence organizes advanced training courses, training events, seminars, and master classes where teachers can share their experiences and learn new teaching methods.

To effectively disseminate this experience, it is essential to create educational resources, including educational materials, online courses, and teaching aids. These resources can be made available to a wide audience of teachers and students.

To support teachers, a bank of methodological resources has been created on the portal https://tt.nis.edu.kz, which is continuously updated with the most effective materials tested in the practice of reference schools. Each reference school has its own account to provide quantitative and qualitative data for analyzing the current situation at the school.

The website "System-Methodical Complex" https://smk.edu.kz contains the largest library of resources for effective teaching.

Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in each region of the country conduct internships based on their schools focused on school management, the use of modern equipment, open lessons, and travel to provide methodological support.

Project: "Development of the Potential of Support Schools in Rural Areas." On June 26, 2023, a new Memorandum of Cooperation was signed to implement and scale up the charity project «Development of the Potential of Support Schools in Rural Areas» between the Public Foundation «Kazakhstan Khalkyna,» AEO «Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools,» and the Public Foundation for Sustainable Development of Education. Since August 2023, 62 rural support schools have been additionally included in the project.

As part of this project, three support schools in the Akmola region were assigned to the NIS of the FMN in Almaty:

  • Abai Gymnasium in Chunja village, Almaty region.

  • B. Sokpakbayev Gymnasium of Raiymbek district, Almaty region.

  • Secondary School No. 117.

Since the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year, internships have been organized at the NIS FMN in Almaty for teachers and librarians from the main schools of the Akmola region. Field seminars focusing on subject knowledge, research skills, and functional literacy for subject teachers and psychologists from reference schools were also conducted.

By 2025, an additional 56 rural support schools are expected to join the project «Developing the Potential of Support Schools in Rural Areas.» By its completion in 2026, the project will encompass 191 rural schools in all district centers and single-industry towns across the country, providing full-fledged equipment, systematic methodological support for teachers, and the transfer of experience to other schools in the regions.
