Winners of the Daryn FIRST Championship

On January 8-9, one of the largest regional robotics events in the country, the Daryn FIRST Championship festival, took place in Kaskelen. The event was organized by the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the USTEM Foundation, and SDU University. More than 1,200 students from specialized educational institutions of Kazakhstan participated in the event.

Over the course of two days, participants aged 4 to 18 showcased their knowledge and skills in engineering, programming, and robotics across four categories of the international FIRST program.

Five teams from our school participated in the robotics festival, each demonstrating outstanding results and team spirit:

• In the FTC category: “Cristabol” and “Yun”

• In the FLL category: “Novaprime,” “CyberX,” and “Sakura”

The “Cristabol” team rightfully earned recognition, becoming a winner in several nominations:

• Finalist Alliance Captain

• Inspire Award — 3rd place

The “Novaprime” team received the Innovation Project Award — Finalist nomination. The “Sakura” team was awarded the Breakthrough Award for exceptional development and innovative achievements!

As a result of the festival, two teams from our school: in the FTC category – “Cristabol,” and in the FLL category – “Novaprime,” won slots to participate in the Central Asia FIRST Championship 2025, which will be held in February in Almaty!
