Students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Almaty—Yerdaulet Turgynbayev, Alfiya Baizhakyp, Nurzhan Kokeev, Doszhan Dayran, and Dastan Kadylbek—were awarded first place at the prestigious FIRST Global Challenge robotics championship.
This year, the competition was held in Greece, where 190 countries participated.
In addition to the gold medal in the Grand Challenge Award nomination and a record number of points in the games, NIS students also won two silver medals in the highest judicial awards: FIRST Global International Excellence named after A. Einstein and Robots Skills Challenge for the best engineering solutions.
It is worth noting that the NIS team won the First Global Challenge championships in Geneva in 2022 and Singapore in 2023. This achievement is the result of the systematic efforts of the students and their team coaches.
