NIS Almaty-Medeu

Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Science and Mathematics in Medeu District of Almaty has been operating since September 1, 2014. To ensure successful integration into the global educational space and to provide students with access to information in Kazakh, Russian, and English, the school has implemented a trilingual education program.

The school delivers the NIS Programme, developed in collaboration with its strategic partner – the University of Cambridge. The curriculum is based on the integration of Kazakhstan’s national and international programs, with a particular focus on science and mathematics.

The school is designed to accommodate 864 students. The campus comprises seven blocks and includes 75 classrooms: 21 classrooms for 24 students each, and 54 classrooms for 12 students each. Facilities include specialized rooms for mathematics, STEM, and technical modeling, as well as laboratories for nanobiotechnology, robotics, physics, chemistry, and biology. Additionally, the school offers spaces for individual lessons and psychological support.
