Students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Petropavlovsk have won the Grand Prix in the international multigenre competition “Alash Star"

The girls won the main prize in the nomination “Playing a musical instrument” for the performance of the work “Kerbez sulu” on zhetigen. The young musicians beat all competitors in the nomination and became the best among 38 performers and bands. In addition to the Grand Prix, the schoolgirls received a ticket to participate in the international competition, which will be held in Istanbul during the celebration of Nauryz. Students will be able to present Kazakh musical culture on the world stage and demonstrate their skills of playing a traditional Kazakh instrument.

NIS Petropavlovsk has been running a circle on the game of tokens for five years. The head of the circle, Aynagul Temirkhanova, improves the skills of her students. Today, there are 8 female students in the circle, who come 3 times a week and play the jetigen.
