The VIII Nauryz meetings on the theme “City of the future: the architecture of the capital” were completed in Astana, which became one of the largest scientific sites for schoolchildren. A traditional scientific event attracted more than 200 students from Nazarbayev Intellectual schools, as well as their peers from the country’s comprehensive schools.

The participants demonstrated 90 projects dedicated to the architecture of the capital, including projects of smart and safe cities, the futuromodel of Astana in 2050, green energy and environmentally friendly technologies in the capital, high-tech in architecture.

Also, as part of the spring meetings, well-known Kazakhstan and foreign architects gave lectures, among them the director of the Institute of Architecture and Construction of the KazNTU after K.I. Satpayev Bolat Kuspangaliyev, rector of KazGASA Erik Besimbayev, laureate of the state award of RK, author of projects of the mosque “Khazret Sultan” and “Triumphal arch” Sagyndyk Dzhambulatov, author of projects “Astana Zhyldyzy” and “Baiterek” Samatbek Bukebaev and others. Special guest of the Nauryz meetings was the chief architect of the Sergio Ferrandi Bureau, Sergio Ferrandi from Italy, who presented an interactive lecture “Smart cities: Europe and Kazakhstan”.

Following the results of the VIII Nauryz meetings, students of Nazarbayev Intellectual school in Taraz demonstrated the following results:

Kairatkyzy Aigerim, 12th grade student – diploma of the third degree in the nomination “High Tech city Astana”, project Small architectural form: “Semiramis” (project manager – Musarova V.A., teacher of biology);

Mukhanov Dias, 10th grade student – diploma in the nomination “The best architectural solution”, project “Automated parking barrier” (project manager – Zhumagaliev S.M., teacher-moderator of informatics);

Smat Aidana, 10th grade student – diploma in the nomination “Best Green Space”, project Sculptural Ensemble “Family” (project managers – Pak Y.L., teacher-expert of art, Yesbulganova A.Sh., art teacher);

Onlasyn Sayazhan, 9th grade pupil – diploma in the nomination “The best prototype of the original”, project Art Center “Korkem” (project managers – Pak Y.L., teacher-expert of art, Yesbulganova A.Sh., art teacher).
