Students of the Taraz Intellectual school took part in a large-scale campaign “Bookstart”. School self-government activists with the support of library staff visited the crisis center for young mothers “Mama’s House” and presented books, board games and sweets to children and their mothers.
The goal of the campaign is to give children books, help families read together every day and inspire children to develop a love of books and reading. This global movement first appeared in the UK in 2014. The government gives each family two surprise boxes at the birth of a child, where you can find the most interesting books and toys.
The students of Taraz NIS decided to give their pleasant surprise to the mothers and children of the crisis center “Mama’s House”. And this is no coincidence, because the connection between the crisis center and the Intellectual school has been established for a long time and is carried out continuously. Every season, students and teachers arrange concert programs in the center, make gifts and pleasant surprises.
NIS students in Taraz won prizes at the XIX Republican competition of research projects and creative works “Zerde”.
