Teachers of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Taraz presented 6 projects in the online Interscholastic Meeting No. 2 within the framework of the International Project “TLK-Leadership of Teachers of Kazakhstan”.
Mathematics teachers Kanat Karazhigitova, Rysbek Zhusipnazarov, Gulnur Akhmedieva, Rai Daniyarbek, physics teachers Aigul Umiraliyeva and Lyazzat Augambayeva, as well as English teacher Anar Ismagulova shared their experience and accumulated materials.
At the plenary session, teachers were introduced to the project’s work plan, and recommendations were given for the development plan by the organizers of the International Project “Leadership of Teachers of Kazakhstan”: Saule Kalikova, Public Policy Adviser of the Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan, Gulbadan Zakayeva, PEF “School for All”, Gulmira Kanai, Higher School of Education of Nazarbayev University, Sheila Ball and Anderson-Payne, project facilitators from the UK.
At this conference, the facilitators of the British School shared their experience in drawing up a research plan for practise during distance learning and an electronic plan for interaction with colleagues, and the features of a reflective report.
The introduction of international experience in the Intellectual School of Taraz began in 2016. For 4 years, the teachers-members of HertsCam NIS Taraz conducted research, identified ideas, collected data, and made action plans. Seminars, interscholastic meetings and consultations were also held.
The Association, which aims to improve the competence and leadership of teachers, was founded 23 years ago in the UK. The program is implemented in more than 1,000 schools in 17 countries.
Currently, the international project has been implemented in 4 cities of Kazakhstan: Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Kokshetau and Taraz. Across the country, 16 schools operate under this program, involving about 200 teachers and school leaders.
NIS students in Taraz won prizes at the XIX Republican competition of research projects and creative works “Zerde”.
