In accordance with the instruction of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the autonomous organization of education “Nazarbayev Intellectual schools” implements courses on teaching English language to 3599 teachers of the country’s general schools. Courses with a duration of 10 months are conducted by the regional Centers of pedagogical excellence.
Within the framework of the project, on February 5, students of language courses met at a round table with Nazarbayev Intellectual school’s foreign teachers. During the event, methods of teaching subjects such as physics, chemistry, computer science, biology in English, difficulties encountered and ways to solve them were discussed.
From February 12 to February 24, the course participants attended classes of teachers working in 11-12 grades in English. Experienced teachers conducted master classes using the CLIL method.
In addition, the participants got acquainted with the library of the school, played games TANGRAM and LEGO, organized by librarian teachers, answered quiz questions through the Pickers application.
According to the listeners, the event contributed to the development of their language skills and professional competence.
