From September 24 to September 29, 2018, Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Physics and Mathematics in Taraz celebrated its 5th anniversary. During the week, teachers, students and their parents conducted intellectual, cognitive and sports activities at the school.

The jubilee week ended with a concert program “Bes zhyldyn belesinde” (“On the threshold of the 5th anniversary”) in the Central Concert Hall “Balasagun”. On a festive evening the pupils of the school performed a medley of 100 Kazakh songs on different musical instruments. The results of the work done for 5 years were summed up and were demonstrated the results of social projects “Tugan elge tagzym”, “Eki apta auylda”, “10 kun ata-ananyn zhumysynda”. An exhibition of creative and design works of the pupils, who won prizes in various competitions, was also organized. Guests of the evening were members of the School’s Board of Trustees, partner and social organizations, heads of the city’s comprehensive schools and parents.

The Intellectual school of Taraz for the first time opened its doors for students on September 1, 2013. For 5 years the school managed to release 400 students. In 2017-2018 academic year, 147 students from 158 received state grants, 44 students became students of Nazarbayev University, 15 students received invitations to higher educational institutions of near and far abroad.

Also this year, the school is eagerly preparing for the international accreditation of the Council of International Schools (CIS), created to promote higher standards and the latest achievements in the field of education.
