From 8 to 13 April in Moscow was the final of the International Competition of Youth Research named. V.I Vernadskiy, in which, under the guidance of the teacher-expert of biology, Aksenova I.V. 8 students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Taraz took part. The works were presented in five sections: “Earth sciences”, “Water sciences”, “Agrobiology, agrochemistry, plant protection”, “Nature and environment protection”, “Pharmacology, biotechnology and food chemistry”.

Abzhan Madina, 11th grader:

– I am very glad that introduced our country. Russia and Kazakhstan are very friendly countries, this is evident even at the youth level. After this trip I had a desire to fully plunge into the world of science. In the future I plan to devote my life to the study of biology and bring my country to a new level.

Before entering the final round-the-clock tour, the students’ research work passed two correspondence rounds and received an invitation.

– Participation in the V. Vernadskiy competition gave me great experience. I met very interesting personalities, scientists and experts, where they not only evaluated our work, but also gave recommendations and valuable advice. In the contest I presented a project on the study of bioindicators in the territory of the city Taraz, which are used to determine the level of air pollution. Since our city is among the top ten cities with a high level of air pollution, – says Smat Aidana, a 10th grade student of the school.

A student of grade 11 Povstyanko Andrey, who represented his work in the section on “Earth sciences”, says:

– I proved that in the territory of modern Kazakhstan 300 million years ago there was a sea. Proof of which were the organisms found, paleontological traces on the territory of Mount Kenburyltau in the Zhambyl region. It was read more than 20 literary sources, books of scientists who once restored the seas and oceans. We are a new generation of people who are developing Kazakhstan, and I was eager to show that Kazakhstan is a country with a rich history and a great cultural heritage.

As a result of the competition, all participants of the Intellectual ыchool of Taraz became winners and showed the following results:
