Teachers and students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Taraz held an online meeting with Dumas High School in Arkansas, USA.
The main purpose of this meeting is to introduce students to global citizenship, to establish partnerships in the field of education, culture, and technology, introducing the national values of our country to foreign students. At the first meeting, students talked about the representatives of the Kazakh nation living in interethnic harmony and peace, the geographical location of the country, its traditions and culture. The peculiarity of the celebration of Nauryz aroused the interest of students of Dumas High School. The meeting was attended by Victor Awasi, an international teacher at the NIS in Taraz, Indira Absadikova, an English teacher, and 9th-grade students and the school administration.
“Meeting with a foreign school is the first step in a partnership. At present, a new plan is being developed between the two schools, which integrates the educational process, cultural relations, and professional development of teachers, ”said Aliya Zhusanbayeva, Deputy Director for Development.
