In order to support technically gifted, talented children and stimulate their interest in innovation and high technologies, on April 28, 2018, a regional selection stage of the Olympiad in robotics within the rules of World Robot Olympiad-2018 will be held on the basis of the Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Physics and Mathematics.

Competitions will be held one day in the following categories:

1. The main

– Junior (up to 12 years)

– Average (from 13 to 15 years)

– Senior (from 16 to 19 years)

2. Creative

– Junior (up to 12 years)

– Average (from 13 to 15 years)

– Senior (from 16 to 19 years old)

3. Soccer robots (from 10 to 19 years)
4. Free

– Sumo. Walking robots.

– Kegelring-quadro.

Each team participates in only one category. The total number of participating teams is unlimited. The team should consist of two students, whose age should correspond to the age restrictions specified in the rules of WRO-2018, published on the site http://wro.nis.edu.kz/. The teams that took the first places in the categories “Basic”, “Creative” and “Robot Soccer” will be allowed to participate in the Republican Robotics Championship scheduled for June 23-24, 2018 on the basis of the Congress Center EXPO (Astana).
