Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools’ educational programme has been recognized as comparable with the international qualification, the General Certificate of Education A-Level (GCE A-Level).
An authoritative British organisation, the United Kingdom National Recognition Information Centre has recognized the programme of Intellectual schools as corresponding to GCE A-Level.
The educational program GCE A-Level is recognized by all top universities around the world. Graduates of these programs have an opportunity to enter higher education institutions without additional entrance examinations, bypassing pre-university foundation year programmes.
“UK NARIC’s International Projects Group has completed its benchmarking study of Kazakhstan’s Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools’ (NIS) Grade 12 Certificate, and has evaluated it as comparable to the overall GCE A Level standard,” UK NARIC experts reported.
The results of study at Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools are also recognized by Kazakhstani universities. At the present moment, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools’ graduates are granted direct entry into second year of bachelors degree programmes at the Kazakh-British Technical University, KIMEP University, Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpaev, Almaty Management University, Almaty University of Energy and Communication, Aktobe Regional State University named after K. Zhubanov, Narxoz University (for the Bachelor of Business Administration programme), and at International Information Technology University (for the Information Security programme). In addition, Nazarbayev University accepts Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools’ graduates to undergraduate programmes bypassing the otherwise mandatory foundation year programme.
