From October 29 to November 5, 2017, the 9th International Olympiad for schoolchildren and college students was held in the Turkish city of Antalya. Temirtayeva Malika a student of 8th grade of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Taraz became the owner of a silver medal at the International English Olympiad among 8th graders.
Malika was preparing for the Olympiad under the guidance of her English language teacher Aytenova Zhadyra. Together they went to Turkey and returned with a victory.
“This is my first experience of participating in the international olympiad. This is not only a chance to show your abilities, but also a great opportunity to get acquainted with interesting people. Interestingly, they have very different standards of assessment”, – Malika said.
The International Olympiad in Antalya is an intellectual project organized by the Educational Center EDUANT with the support of the municipality of Antalya. This year, more than 500 students of schools and colleges from the CIS countries, Russia, the Republic of Turkey and the Baltic countries took part in the Olympiad.
