On February 3, a regional volleyball tournament was held, organized by physical education teachers of the school. The tournament, which united students of city and district schools, was timed to coincide with the retirement of Tolendi Danyshpanuly Agadilov, a respected teacher of physical culture at the school. The teacher with 40 years of experience in his time was awarded with such awards as “The Best Teacher 2012” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the medal “Veteran of Labor”, the badge “For the great contribution to the development of the sports reserve preparation system”.
The event, aimed at strengthening friendly relations between schoolchildren and promoting healthy lifestyles, brought together about 50 schoolchildren.
According to the results of the competition, the students of A. Makarenko secondary school took the first place, the boys of the gymnasium school No. 49 named after Y.Altynsarin were on the 2 nd place. The third place was taken by team of the Nazarbayev Intellectual school in Taraz.
