In recent decades, the pace of globalization has become much faster, affecting the accelerated development of mankind. And what is the role and place of each person in these global transformations and world development?

In order to find answers to these questions and the formation of students’ qualities inherent in a global citizen, the school held a meeting on the theme: “Global citizenship: myth and reality”.

The event was organized by the joint effort of curators and educators of the school dorm, which was attended by students of different nationalities of the children’s home №1 named after K. Sarymoldayev in Taraz.

Games “Dostyk”, “Suhbat”, “Teambuilding” providing education of children to unity, cooperation, goodwill were held, favorable conditions for communication between students were also created.

In addition, the teacher of Economics Aliya Zhusanbaeva organized a simulation game on the topic “Who is a citizen of the world?”, which aims to address poverty and hunger at the local, national and global levels within the framework of the “17 sustainable development goals”.

The game was held to promote the development of leadership and public speaking skills of students, instilling interest in global problems as a citizen of Kazakhstan.

Feedback from participants showed that the event was successful and contributed to the establishment of friendly relations between its participants. This is evidenced by a handmade gift made by the Intellectual school students to the children from the orphanage.

At the end of the meeting, the teachers of the two educational institutions noted that such events will be continued in the future.
